COURSES:


Courses Include:

  • General English: 17.5 hours per week (max. 12 per class).
  • Intensive Plus General English: 25 hours per week
  • Examinations Preparation (IELTS) – 25 hours per week.LSI is an IELTS Examination testing centre. IELTS Preparation Courses are taught by accredited Examiners.
  • General English plus One-to-One: 17.5 hours Group plus 5 hours individual lessons.
  • University Pre-sessional Courses: Recognised by most of the universities listed above
  • General English plus Business English programmes
  • Executive Training courses: English .for Professional Communications

ACCOMMODATION AND WELFARE:


LSI offers Homestay accommodation, Executive Homestay and (summer only) Hall of Residence. Shared Student house accommodation is also widely available. We recommend our excellent Homestays, most are 15 to 30 minutes walk from the school. With only one other school in the city, LSI has an effective monopoly on the families.

LOCATION:


We are in the centre of Portsmouth – a beautiful and historic sea-side city just 90 minutes from London and surrounded by the University, shops, sports facilities and entertainment. The city has a brand-new “designer outlet” shopping mall with restaurants and nightclubs and a 14-screen cinema a few minutes’ walk from the school. Portsmouth has more museums and historical attractions than any other city in Britain outside London, Bath and Edinburgh.
